Towne Center Books will host three separate and unique authors at one amazing event!
Join us at Inklings Coffee & Tea on Wednesday, November 28th at 10:00am
We will host authors Vanessa Hua, Mary Jo McConahay, and Meredith Jaeger at Inklings Coffee and Tea. These three women will share their writing experiences, stories that inspired their books, and answer audience questions. Towne Center Books will provide food and refreshments!
Tickets are $15.00 which includes entry and food. Books will be sold separately at the event.
Vanessa Hua is a San Francisco native who writes for the San Francisco Chronicle as well as her own novels. River of Stars tells the story of various Chinese-American immigrants across the spectrum of citizenship. With varying degress of language, wealth, and legal means, A River of Stars is a compelling, emotional novel that is surely bound to be a modern classic.
Meredith Jaeger is a San Francisco journalist who focuses her novels on the experience of immigrants. Being raised by a Swiss-American father, she drew inspiration from his stories to write Boardwalk Summer. Boardwalk Summer is a story of two women living generations apart. Violet is a beauty queen who died too soon and Marisol is a single mother who wants to uncover the truth of what happened to Violet.
Mary Jo McConahay is an accomplished investigative journalist who has worked in several countries including France, England, Saudi Arabia, and America. Her book, The Tango War, is a historical account of the struggle of Latin America during World War 2. It is filled with details of America trying to persuade Mexico into the war and how the people of Mexico were severely caught in the crossfire.
