Double Double Mystery and Trouble!

James Ziskin and Terry Shames are plotting a mysterious evening at Towne Center Books.
Join the fun on Thursday, June 14th at 7:00 PM!

Mystery authors James Ziskin and Terry Shames will discuss their writing and how they craft the perfect murder mysteries (on paper, of course)!

James Ziskin is the author of the Ellie Stone series set in 1960s New York. Newspaper reporter Ellie Stone is the perfect narrator for this series of riveting mysteries.
A Stone's Throw, Ziskin's latest book in the series, follows Ellie as she investigates a suspicious fire at an abandoned stud farm in upstate New York. When she stumbles upon two dead bodies burned beyond recognition, Ellie dives into the underworld of horse racing to find out who the victims were, who wanted them dead, and why.

Terry Shames is the author of the Samuel Craddock series set in the small town of Jarrett Creek, Texas. Formerly retired Police Chief Samuel Craddock is a compassionate main character who sifts through small-town loyalties and betrayals in search of the truth.
Terry Shames returns to Jarrett Creek with her latest in the Samuel Craddock series, A Reckoning in the Back Country. When Lewis Wilkins, a physician with a vacation home in Jarrett Creek, is attacked by vicious dogs, and several pet dogs in the area disappear, Samuel suspects that a dog fighting ring is operating in his territory. He has to tread carefully in his investigation, since lawmen who meddle in dog fighting put their lives at risk.

You won't want to miss this gripping discussion between two master mystery writers!
