Join us for a wonderful hour in the Harrington Gallery as Martin Hsu shares his art and his inspiration for his new book, Metta. Towne Center Books will have copies of Metta for sale at the event.

Metta is a book to inspire compassion and kindness, with words by Rumi and artwork by Martin Hsu.

Martin Hsu is an Asian American artist living and working in San Francisco. He fell in love with drawing at his grandparents' house while growing up in Taiwan. After he moved to the U.S. with his parents in 1991, Martin went on to  earn his  Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from California State University in Fullerton. He has worked professionally as a character designer for Nickelodeon and Disney TV Animation and his work has been shown in the Hello Kitty Anniversary Exhibition at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, Disney's WonderGround Gallery by Disneyland, and on the Google campus.
