The Last Romantics follows the four Spinner siblings after the loss of both of their parents. Narrated almost one hundred years later by their youngest sister, The Last Romantics follows the lives of all four siblings and the way they survived, loved, lost, and grew in the world. A family drama with a heart of gold, The Last Romantics tests the bond of the Spinner siblings through major life events and struggles while displaying how it both brings them together and pulls them apart.
Learning to See is Elise Hooper's newest work of historical fiction. Following the real life of photographer Dorothea Lange, the novel is a fictionalized account of her life. Not only does the book follow Dorothea's career as she takes raw, honest photos of the Great Depression and Japanese Internment camps, but also follows her different marriages, the raising of her children, and her struggle to become a well known name in a time absolutely dominated by men.
